Untitled (Keeping The Light On)

This project’s focus is fragments, fragments pulled together and violently reconnected. Crudely cut pieces of dyed cloth and velvet are forced together to create this environment that seems almost more alive than its contents. It consumes and engulfs the mind more than the physical, and the battle between them is coming to an end. The flashing lamp repeats in an SOS pattern like a beacon, a call out to anybody who might be listening - a final hope. But this moment captured also falls into place with the rest of them - these traumas your body is fighting against, is once again sewn crudely into the rest of them. A breaking point is within reach.
